My journey began in high school, taking photography and graphic arts classes. I rediscovered my passion for photography during the 2017 solar eclipse, a moment that rekindled my creative vision. Upon retiring in 2022, I fully immersed myself in my craft, taking classes and entering competitions to refine my technical and artistic skills.
My eye for composition and meticulous attention to detail has been recognized through various exhibitions and awards:
- Exhibitions at Black Box Gallery (Portland, Oregon), Art at the Cave (Vancouver, Washington), and Decode Gallery (Tucson, Arizona)
- Awards at the 2023 and 2024 Vancouver Art and Music Festival
- "Best of Class" in 2022 through 2024 and "Judge's Choice" in 2024 at the Clark County Fair
- Publications in Novum Artis (Issues 5, 6 and 7)
While still developing my unique style, I strive to capture the unique beauty of nature and advocate for its preservation. Each photograph serves as a reminder of the importance of nurturing and cherishing our natural world.
